Gordon Brown ARPS judged the images and Tony Oliver won the trophy this year with his series of sailing boats entitled ‘Becalmed’
Etchells Vase Trophy
The Etchells Vase Trophy, Previously a trophy solely for human portraits, has been rebranded this season as People pictures; opening up the topic to other genres such as Street, Travel and Documentary images.
Jim Pascoe ARPS,ABIPP, judged the competition in the Hall and Tony Oliver won the trophy for his ‘Portrait of an Indian Boy’
Wiltshire Trophy
The Wiltshire Trophy is awarded for the best print focusing on Wiltshire. Amongst the landscapes other subjects can now be entered covering a whole range of subjects that show Wiltshire life.
Roy Lambeth judged the competition as a live event in the Hall. Landscapes and architecture took the top places. Tony Oliver won the Wiltshire Trophy this year with his superb night time image of the ‘The Cathedral Close at Night’
Club Trophy
The subject set by the Committee for the Club Trophy this year included a challenge to take any genre of photo but specifically using a ‘Mobile Phone’ to capture the images. Subsequently the images could be processed as members wished and presented as PDIs
Jason Hyde CPAGB judged the competition and showed his enthusiasm for images that harness the attributes of mobile phone capability for photography whilst still showing thoughtful composition and capture. He congratulated Shaun Duke for his innovative, storytelling image ‘Lurking in the Shadows’ that placed him first and won him the trophy this season.
